Household CSA Week 14 - September 20, 2017

Scenes like this right now in our lovely city.

Intern Grace harvesting some spectacular kale for the blue bag this week. The weather is turning, some rain, some chilled air, some long sleeves for the bike rides across town.

How have you been getting through those tomatoes? So tasty, and so many over the past three weeks. Regretfully, I hear this may be the last of them. If you don't already have a go-to recipe for a killer tomato sauce/soup, now is the time to locate that special someone and ask/beg for theirs. Also, you should already have one by now, it's 2017. You're not getting any younger.

Perhaps this helps. Garlic is the best.

And you may have noticed a bag of small cabbages (aka Brussels sprouts) in your share. Sautee them, at least five ways.

The above have that traditional affinity for sharing plate real estate with potatoes. These are the German Butter variety.

Finally, it's the triumphant return of Lovelock Lettuce!
