First Household CSA of the 2017 Season!

Wednesday, June 21 was the first(ish) day of summer and the season kick-off for our household CSA. We're VERY excited to be collaborating with the fine folks at Luppolo Brewing Company, creating a nice "two birds, one feeder" situation:

fresh veggies + fresh beer in one location

Here's our two lead farmers, Suho and Cam, with brewer Stefan.
And the list of what was on tap! Stefan recommends paring the slightly spicy and super crisp Easter Egg Blend radishes with the sour. This season will be one to explore pairing beer with veggies, such as the Coastal Star Romaine, which is an exceptionally appropriate varietal name, with the Gin Barrel IPA. Please tell us which combinations work for you over the course of the season.
Each week on the blog, we will post images of CSA items to help you grow your crop literacy and highlight some of the "places and faces" that help bring forth the bounty.

- Coastal Star Romaine
- Garlic scapes (from Leningrad variety of garlic)
- Easter Egg Radishes
- Astro Arugula
- Fresh oregano

See you next Wednesday and don't forget to bring your ICF reusable bag and a growler!
